The earthquake was widely felt by people. The maximum reported intensity reached level IV on the EMS-98 macroseismic scale. If you felt it too you can report your experience here. The earthquake is the first stronger one of a seismic swarm which started in the Nový Kostel area on 23.5.2014. Seismic swarms occur repeatedly here. Some more earthquakes of such magnitude can be observed in the next few days but no greater damage is expected by this type of earthquakes.
It presented no threat to any of the Czech NPPs.
NEW: On 31.5.2014 the swarm continues by a series of felt shocks after a few quiet days.
