The earthquake was not felt by people in the Czech Republic and no damage to buildings or infrastructure is expected here.
The earthquake was probably the strongest one recorded instrumentally by seismic stations in southern Moravia so far. In 2000 the local seismological network monitoring Dukovany NPP was still not in operation. The earthquake was interpreted by data from existing, more distant stations.
