It is an aftershock of a series which started a few hours earlier at 12:51 CEST with an earthquake with magnitude 2.5 and the strongest one so far with magnitude 2.7 at 17:22 CEST.
No significant damage to buildings or infrastructure is expected.
Weak earthquakes from this area are observed quite frequently. The strongest earthquake so far from the Orlík reservoir region of 13.1.2007 with magnitude 2.3 was felt by many people in the surrounding area.
